Student Success Advisor-Basic Needs (MnSCU Academic Professional 2)

As part of Pine Technical and Community College’s commitment to student success and ongoing institutional effectiveness, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating retention-based outreach and student success initiatives to a diverse student population, specifically first-generation, low-income, and historically underrepresented.
The position will provide academic and financial aid advising to current and prospective students with an emphasis on relationship building between the student and advisor. In addition, the position coordinates and facilitates the execution of various state and federal grants with a primary focus on serving underrepresented students. Key functions include building awareness, acting as a liaison with all internal and external partners, collaborating with the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) department to ensure accuracy with the availability of PTCC Basic Needs Resources, as well as providing academic/financial aid advising and case-management to students.
In addition, this position will also serve as the primary coordinator for non-academic student support (Basic Needs Resources) on campus with the goal of enhancing student persistence, retention, and completion.
